Student Identity Verification Procedure

As mandated by the Superior Court of California, Counties of Alameda, Kerns, King, San Bernardino, and San Diego,  all students (including but not limited to out-of-state and military students) must undergo an Identity Verification Procedure to ensure the Traffic Violator is indeed the one who's taking the Final Exam using Method 1 or Method 2 only.

For Traffic Violators from: Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Napa, Santa Cruz, and Glenn, you can use Method 2 or Method 3 only.

We offer our students 2 methods to satisfy the Identity Verification:

  1.  Method 1: Online verification using a web cam through
       CompletelyOnline™.  Click here for more information.

  2.  Method 2: The off-line method of taking the test in front of a
       Public Notary.  Please follow the procedure below.

  3.  Method 3: The on-line method using your credit report information
       from Experian.  You'd need to verify your credit info from your
       own credit report.

Method 1 - CompletelyOnline™:

The CompletelyOnline^™ method is court-approved and is the EASIEST way to have your identity verified. Choose this method and we will send you a cool web camera for you to install on your computer before taking the final exam only. It takes only 5 minutes to install and saves you the time and energy of going to a notary public. The camera takes a picture of you that will be printed on your completion certificate to prove who took the course. All you need is a computer with Windows 98 or better and a USB port. Method 2 - Notary Public:

1. The Students complete the 6 chapters and quizzes.
    
   
2. The Students print out the final exam, answer sheet, and an Identity Verification Form or an actual certificate of acknowledgment provided by the notary.
   
   
3. Proceed to any notary of your choice.
   
   
4. Proceed to mark the answers on the answer sheet in front of the Notary.***
   
   
5. Notarize the Identity Verification Form or an actual certificate of acknowledgment provided by the notary.
   
   
6. Fax the answer sheet and Identity Verification Form (with notaries stamp and signature) to TooLazyForTrafficSchool.com at 818-743-7792.

We will grade the Final Exam answer sheet and enter the information into the system within 24 hours (Weekends excluded).

Method 3 - Experian Credit Report:

1. The Students complete the 6 chapters and quizzes.
    
2. The final exam will be administered at the CCS website.  The fee for the Experian ID Verification is $5.00 and paid directly to CCS.
    
3. The website will first direct you to the Experian website where you'd need to verify information on your own credit report.
    
4. The system will allow you to proceed to the final exam once you've successfully answers a few questions.

*** Please note that the Court requires that the students identity be verified, not that the final exam be proctored!  There is a difference and this has created a lot of confusion amongst the notaries and the students throughout the State. Therefore the student must take the final in the presence of the notary, but this does not demand that the notary watch over the student.
